ITD Certification

The Journey to Becoming an ITD Certified Coach

What would take your ITD practice to the next level? 

 

Through the first two levels of ITD training, you explored the many ways characters influence identity and dictate action. You've seen the ways they can profoundly constrict what's possible, for you and for your clients.

But you sense there's more, another level you can reach in integrating ITD seamlessly into how you coach​.

 

ITD certification is a path to mastery. It's a process designed to support your fluency, flexibility and confidence in working with the Inner Team, so you can bring this work alive for your clients in a way that's as accessible as it is powerful. 

ITD Certification Benefits

 

ITD certification is a pathway to mastery of coaching the Inner Team. You can expect to emerge from the certification process with significantly greater skill, confidence, range and fluency in your parts-work practice. â€‹â€‹

In addition, completing the requirements to be ITD certified allows you to: ​

 

  • Represent yourself publicly as an ITD Certified Coach

  • Be eligible to join the ITD faculty, to deliver training, mentor coaching and supervision

  • Receive referrals of individual and corporate clients seeking ITD services

  • Use the ITD brand and intellectual property in your own programs (within certain guidelines). 

  • Develop your own ITD-based articles, books and client resources

The Application Process

ITD Certification is highly customizable.  In consultation with ITD faculty, you'll be invited to define a learning pathway that's targeted specifically to your interests, objectives and the client populations that you serve.

The application process will prompt you to reflect on what success looks like for you, and how you'll integrate this program into your coaching practice over the next 1-2 years. â€‹

You may complete your application at any time. Once received, you'll be invited to meet with a member of the ITD faculty, to define the specifics of your program. â€‹â€‹

Certification can begin whenever you're ready, although the timing of group supervision will be determined by when group minimum size requirements are met.

The Certification Process​

 

Every certification program is built around six core components, described below. 

In consultation with your faculty advisor, you will define the specifics of each component.

 

For example, you'll determine what your client practice will focus on, how many hours will be needed to achieve your learning objectives, and over what time period. This means certification can range from 12-24 months, based on the details you define. ​

Client Practice

Create a plan to achieve 50-150 hours of ITD practice over a 12-24 month period, with the clients you choose, practicing the approaches you most wish to master. 

Reflective Practice

You'll choose a reflective practice, such as journaling, which enables you to learn everything you can from your experiences in ITD practice.

Mentor Coaching

Bring recordings of your ITD sessions for developmental feedback, targeted to your specific learning and practice objectives. 

Receiving ITD

You'll choose your practitioner, frequency and which characters to meet, and bring your experiences of receiving ITD into your supervision group. This is an essential element of cultivating your Inner Leader presence

Supervision Group

Join a small group of fellow ITD practitioners for monthly case-based explorations of your practice. A space to explore and work through challenges in a supportive community of peers. 

Independent Study

You'll select a topic of interest to explore in depth, to deepen and broaden the ITD body of knowledge, such as profiling additional pairs of characters, researching impact, or developing new applications. 

Investment

The base cost for all certification programs is $5995. This fee covers the minimum requirements in practice, mentor coaching and supervision to achieve certification. 

 

Your final cost will be determined by the duration of your program, and if you choose more mentor coaching, supervision and receiving sessions beyond the minimum requirements.

 

Your final cost is determined with your faculty advisor, and you will receive a detailed breakdown before enrollment. 

 

Payment plans are available (monthly and quarterly options).

The application fee for Certification is $200. This fee is non-refundable.
